The Problem
People of color make up a disproportionate number of people arrested and convicted of crime. Contributing factors include poverty, under treated mental health conditions and the lack of quality education.
What we are doing
The branch is on year four of a five-year emphasis on Criminal Justice. The branch has held forums with local officials, investigate claims of discrimination, met with judges and leadership has toured local prisons.
